The sketch is simply BRILLIANT!! I think this is one of the best ideas The Two Ronnies ever had! I have to say at this point I LOVE British Comedy and being an EL teacher/trainer I find such sketches most useful in class – they are equally popular with students and trainee teachers…
…Which is why I thought I would help popularise some of them (both Video AND Audio clips) by uploading (or re-uploading) them on YouTube so people / colleagues can find them all in the same place. If you like this kind of Comedy, just go to YouTube and type ‘Comedy for ELT’. There are only 10 clips there so far, but I hope to make them 100 or so by the end of the year…
I would be very interested in feedback…

Thank 4 your share. before i read it , my thinking is not that, but when i read it i know alot. yeah,being a teenagers have alots of thing. both ( bad and good). when i was at high school , i never thought about how to study at university. when i met the problem i always solve it by never think what’s happen when we did it already. so all the teenagers should think about what did u do ? and the result that you get back.

i really enjoy reading your stuff..i don’t rlly know what motivated you guys to write it…..but now i am certain WE HAVE TO CHANGE THIS WORLD!and change a lttle mentality of our dear adults…i rlly appreciate your ideas…may be because i am a teen too..but may be because we see things moving in another way..hope u have understand what i want to say..:)

well, I,m from Romania Bucharest, 32 yars old I live in Bucharest and Yes the etno-botanical drugs represent now 2011.04.August the nr.1 cause of the death among teenage people.I work as an voluntar in a Christian NGO and everyday I,m in contact with this world:drugadicted people and I mean botanical drugs here in Bucharest not far from the North Station.I,m so disapointed for the way people talk about on their web-sites,about this flagel ,masacre and tragedy.Recently,I have visit one of the gay on the Intensiv Therapy section in hospital.I know him for long time.Blond hear ,blue eyes,in one word very healthy strong man.BUT….one night hi was find allmost in clinic death because his leaver just give up.WHI?Because of etno-botanical.Thank God hi survaivd but now hi is seek of leaver cancer hi is now “fat”because of the liquid that is in him.I visit him like Itold you.An young man waiting to day only because for few month hi injected his self with etno-botanical drugs.Please present the truth on Internet about this TRAGEDY ,there is no dream no hapyness,there is REAL DEATH IN AN VERY FAST WAY.Right now around the North Station Bucharest 1/4 of drugsadicted person in positiv AIDSorHIV.Because thei injecteed them self whit the similar tools. I,will explain more later…..

Mt kilonmonjaro is higher than mont everest becase it is on africa wich is elevated and it is on the high bolg of the earth. if you mesure both montains from the same sea, mont kilamanjaro is higher!

With al respect for Mauna Kea and Mt. Everest. the tallest mountain in the world is Mt. lamlam on Guam. Although only approx. 1500ft above sea level. The base of Mt. Lamlam lies at the bottom of the Marianas Trench, The lastest verified depth of the trench southwest of Guam is over 38,000 ft, Combined this with a height of 1500 ft. above sea level. Mt. Lamlam is approximately 39,500 ft tall.

Basically we have time for everything but finding the true meaning of life.
We are always on the go and searching for clues that could lead us to that meaning, when in fact we have it all in the palm of our hands… in the sweetness of our voice once we’ve spoken words of love… in our own nature as human beings, yet not in our instinct (the one of curious terminators).

Octavian Paler succeeded to make a perfect portret of humanity in our days. In general, people want to do every thing fast( we eat fast, love fast and think fast).We are always hurry. Few are different. But no one know why he is hurry. So , in our rush,we lose the most beautiful parts of our life. The man forgot to be natural, to see the beauty in every thing. He has time just for his usually activities. So , I think we should learn from this poem to be natural, to find the true beauty of life, finally to be gentle. I am sure that then we will be more happy, even if it looks imposible.

The main issue here is not someone’s attitude towards their own writing and copyright, but the idea of NEVER copying anyone’s words and pasting them in one’s piece of writing as if those words and ideas were put together by the new author. The procedure is called PLAGIARISM and it is severely punished by the teachers and professors in highschools, colleges and universities all over the world (the student caught red-handed can be expelled!).

My main reason for writing the post was to draw our students’ attention to plagiarism and the fact that such practice can have at least two unpleasant effects: the original author can sue the “thief” and ask for financial compensations, the teacher/professor discovering a case of plagiarism can punish the guilty student, etc.

I personally feel free to post my work on the internet or on a public space. I think that the purpose of making a work/idea public is to share it to others. I am not concerned of someone copying my work and pretending it is his/her work because the people that do this don’t deserve any attention. On the other side, I take quoting as a sing of respect to the author. ( No offense to the discussion below. It is a personal problem and I don’t want to get involved )

Great stuff kids/ young adults! A lot of you have said how being a teenager is both easy and hard, discovering new things, learning about life. It is. So if life at any age. I remember feeling very scared and disappointed at university because I was always told to enjoy it as it’s the best time of your life. “Is it all downhill from now on?” I thought. Well, any time can be good or bad, life is what you make it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this blog.

I thought that using your own words to express my regrets would be the only thing that you couldn’t be angry with because you had nothing to interpret. It was not sarcastic! It seems that the only way to really sort this out is to have a face-to-face discussion. I am looking forward to it.

I am a Pisecs and as far as I know you are a Leo. The persons born under these zodiacal signs have very big egos and are native word-masters! My father was a Leo and some of my few friends are Leos and I can say that Leos have always been true challenges for me (and vice versa) because of the two things I pointed above.
